Welcome on my website. My name is Eric Dros and I believe that a mindgame is good for the development of a child. By playing such a game it learns to concentrate and solution-oriented thinking. In addition it teaches you to deal with winning and losing and the emotions that come with it.
I hope my game will be an educational entertainment for both children and adults.
In the meantime I invented three more games that can be played on the same board with the same wedges: Gunzi Mortale, Gunzi Slowgo and Gunzi GoGo.
But the main game, where it all began is Gunzi, the most man-sided mind-game of the universe.
I invented Gunzi in the rainforest of Suriname in the little village Gunzi, and that’s where the name of the game comes from.
It’s an abstract, open, two persons board game in which both players start with only four wedges each on a board with seventeen fields. At this small version of Gunzi, the length of a match will take only about 15/20 moves per person.
With every move, the wedge must make a specific change of direction, and that may bring you to hard to predict situations. You have to think ahead and around the corner, make the right choices and take into account with as many as possible possibilities, to outdo your oponent.
The aim of the game is to collect as many wedges as possible on the on the other side of the board.
Better pay attention to be prepared to all the quirks and tricks your opponent might try on you.
Don’t let them catch you!
Let me explain the rules of the game to you in this video.
Via gunzi.xafron.nl, a simple version of Gunzi can be played directly in the browser on any device, against Gunzilá, an always-available automatic opponent. The game can additionally be played on a computer (free of charge and without advertising, against the server or against other players online) as well as on a wooden board.
